This is a standard that many businesses have based their customer service on for as long as I can remember. But just because they’ve always done it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the right rule to apply.

At Land Enterprises Roofing, we use the “platinum rule” as the standard for our customer service. The platinum rules state that you treat people the way they want to be treated.

Of course, it’s a good idea to be considerate of others and treat them well, but not everyone likes the same things. While I may want you to greet me with a smile, small talk about the weather, and inquiries about my kids, you may prefer a smile, brief conversation, and then want me to get straight into the facts.

It’s essential that we get to know our customers, understand their personalities and communication styles, and identify their wants and needs. Our team spends time understanding our customers’ individual needs to provide the best service for them. 

We respect that each person has a unique way they like us to communicate with them, and we work hard to honor them by adjusting to their preferences. This helps us build a trusting relationship with our clients so that they feel more comfortable and satisfied with our business.

We want each person we come into contact with to feel that they are genuinely cared for and respected. We desire to help people, and one way we do that is to understand and communicate with others in the best way possible, the way they want to communicate.
