Have you ever found yourself overwhelmed and stressed over unexpected roofing problems? We get it. During these emergencies, many homeowners don’t know what to expect throughout the repair process, but we at Land have your back.
Emergency? No problem
A little back story: A few months ago, we headed over to a customer’s home because they needed an emergency repair. Depending on the emergency, we typically have to make a temporary fix before making a permanent one. For instance, if a tree has broken through your roof, we’d remove the debris and patch over the hole until we could get the correct materials.
In this customer’s case, we had to make a temporary fix in order to prevent any secondary issues. We made the temporary fix to their problem, but when it was time to compensate for our work, they were confused. We had to explain that for emergency repairs, you must pay for the work done—even if it’s a temporary fix—and then your homeowner’s insurance would reimburse for the out-of-pocket cost.
This is not at the fault of the customer, and everything worked out great. They ended up being very pleased with our work and expertise! We just want to make sure homeowners are aware of the process and know what to expect.
Types of emergency repairs
For it to qualify as an emergency, it has to be just that—an emergency. If it’s something that can wait and won’t cause any secondary issues, it technically isn’t an emergency. We at Land Enterprises Roofing can help with many different emergency repairs, such as:
- Replacing shingles
- Repairing chimney flashing and/or siding
- Fixing loose nails in the roof
- Replacing vent pipes
- Fixing roof from external forces
- And so much more!
