That’s why we’re excited to introduce Josiah Swickey, one of our dedicated project managers. If you’ve had the chance to meet Josiah, you already know he’s one of the kindest, most hardworking guys you’ll come across. Whether guiding a homeowner through the roofing process or ensuring every project runs smoothly, Josiah brings a level of care, precision, and integrity that makes him an essential part of our team.

From making welds to putting on roofs

Josiah didn’t start his career in roofing—he spent a decade as a welder, working on structures that demanded precision, strength, and durability. While the industries may seem different, Josiah saw a natural connection between welding and roofing: both require attention to detail, problem-solving, and a commitment to getting the job done right the first time.

So, how did he end up at Land Enterprises Roofing? Like all great stories, it started with a friend who saw his potential. “A close friend in the industry introduced me to the team at Land,” Josiah recalls. “From the moment I met them, I felt at home. Their commitment to quality and teamwork matched my values perfectly, and I knew this was the right place for me.”

The best part of the job?

For Josiah, roofing isn’t just about shingles and storm repairs—it’s about helping people.

“One of the things I enjoy most about my job is connecting with homeowners,” he says. “I love guiding people through what can be a really stressful process—like dealing with a hail claim—and helping them feel confident in the outcome.”

One experience that stands out? “I recently worked with a homeowner whose roof had been severely damaged by a storm. They were overwhelmed and unsure about what to do. Being able to step in, walk them through the process, and see the relief on their face when the project was finished—it reminded me why I do what I do.”

More than a roof

When Josiah isn’t on a job site, he’s most likely outside enjoying fishing, hunting, or spending time with his family. He was born and raised in Edmond, and his deep connection to the Oklahoma landscape and community is something he carries into his work every day.

He also lives by a simple but powerful motto:

“Do what’s right, even when no one is watching.”

“It’s the foundation of trust and integrity,” he explains. “It applies to work, relationships, and life in general. When you take pride in what you do and treat people with honesty and respect, everything else falls into place.”

Josiah has only been with Land Enterprises Roofing for eight months, but it’s already clear he’s found his perfect fit.

“The key to success, in my opinion, is consistency, communication, and a genuine desire to help others,” he says. “I approach every project as if I were helping my own family, and that’s the culture here at Land. We’re not just fixing roofs—we’re protecting homes, giving people peace of mind, and building lasting relationships.”

As Josiah continues to grow in his role, one thing is sure: Land Enterprises Roofing—and the Edmond community—are lucky to have him.
