If you’ve ever called our office, you’ve likely experienced her warm personality and dedication to helping our customers. Paula has been with Land since 2012, and her journey here is inspiring.

From retail to roofing

Before joining Land, Paula spent years working in retail, holding roles in everything from grocery store management to loss prevention. But after years in the fast-paced retail world, she was ready for a change.

That change came as a temporary position at Land Enterprises Roofing, arranged by a friend in a staffing agency. “I met with Kirsten and Stacy, and they allowed me to come in for a few hours to see if it was the right fit,” Paula recalls. It didn’t take long to realize she had found something special. She gave her two-week notice at her previous job and joined the Land team full-time in November 2012.

The heart of the job

Paula’s role at Land isn’t just about answering calls or coordinating roofing projects—it’s about helping people. “What I love most about my job is the ability to help our customers with their roofing needs and treat all of them with respect,” she says. “I also love that I work for a company that wants to see its people grow and gives us the tools and training to do just that.”

Problem solver

Paula takes pride in going above and beyond for Land’s customers. One of her most memorable experiences was tracking down a manufacturer for a customer’s windows. It wasn’t easy—she searched through builders, called high-end window distributors, and even posted in industry forums trying to identify the brand.

After extensive research, she finally found the original installer, ensuring the homeowner could get their windows replaced. “That’s the kind of service I love providing,” she says. “If there’s a way to solve a problem, I’ll find it.”

A life outside of Land

Paula’s passion for helping others continues when she’s not at work. She plays the drums at her church and leads Turning Point Ministries, an 18-week program at Church Alive that helps individuals address the root causes of challenges like depression, addiction, and emotional struggles. “It’s a safe place to share and heal,” she explains. “I love being able to help people through it.”

Music, faith, and community service are a huge part of her life, and she carries that same spirit of care and encouragement into everything she does at Land.

Words of wisdom

If Paula could offer one piece of advice to others, it would be this: “Never let the negative talk of others define who you are. That’s their opinion, not who you are. Hurting people hurt people.”

Her key to success? A willingness to learn, grow, and embrace change. “I always try different things, look for ways to improve, and focus on growth—not just as an employee, but as a mother, friend, daughter, and part of a team.”

Paula’s dedication, problem-solving skills, and genuine care for people make her an irreplaceable part of Land Enterprises Roofing. She doesn’t just work here—she builds relationships, finds solutions, and lifts those around her.

Her advice to others? “When you love what you do, you will never be bored or lack drive. Be happy with yourself, know that you are part of a team, and remember that together, you can accomplish anything.”
