What your roof wants you to know in 2026

What your roof wants to know

Hey there. It’s me — your roof.

You probably don’t think about me much, and that’s okay. I’m used to it. I’m not flashy. I don’t beep or buzz. But I am the one quietly standing between you and Oklahoma’s unpredictable weather, and I’ve got a few things I’d love for you to keep in mind this year.

So grab your coffee, and let’s chat.

I’ve had a rough couple of seasons

Remember those hailstorms last spring? And the dust storms this fall? Yeah — I do too.

Even if I look okay from your driveway, small issues might be hiding. A lifted shingle here, a dented vent there… they add up. And when water starts to sneak in, it’s already too late.

What I’d like:

Have someone come check on me at least once or twice a year. The team at Land Roofing OKC offers free inspections, and they’re particularly skilled at identifying issues early, before they become expensive.

I can’t do my job if the gutters are clogged

You know those pretty red leaves that fell last fall? A bunch of them are still sitting in your gutters, soaking wet. When that water doesn’t drain properly, it backs up under my shingles. It can rot out your fascia, cause leaks, and even create ice dams when temperatures drop.

What I’d like:

Please clean the gutters. Or, better yet, let Land handle it as part of their roof maintenance plan. They’ll check everything, document it for your warranty, and you don’t have to touch a ladder.

Tree limbs are not my friends

I know you love the shady backyard, but when limbs get too close, they rub against my shingles, strip off granules, and break things when the wind gets wild.

What I’d like:

Trim back branches that hang over or touch the roof. Not only does it protect me, but it also keeps squirrels and other critters from invading your attic.

A little check-in goes a long way

If something seems off—a water spot on the ceiling, granules in the downspout, or a piece of flashing on the lawn—it’s not nothing. Trust your instincts.

What I’d like:

Don’t ignore signs of damage or wait until “next weekend.” Call someone local, like the Land team, who actually lives here and will be around to help long after the storm passes.

I work best with a good support system

Think of me like the lid on a Tupperware container — if the container (your attic) is cracked, humid, or poorly insulated, I can’t do my job.

What I’d like:

Have someone check your attic ventilation and insulation. Proper airflow keeps me healthy and keeps your energy bills from going through the… well, you know.

I’m proud to protect your home

Really, I am. But I’m not indestructible, and I’m not meant to be ignored for 10 years at a time.

When you give me regular checkups and show a little care, I last longer, perform better, and help keep your family safe through whatever 2026 throws our way.

Let’s make 2026 my best year yet

If you haven’t had a roof inspection in a while (or ever), make this the year you change that. You don’t have to do it yourself. You don’t even have to remember to call.

Land Enterprises Roofing offers a year-round maintenance program that takes the pressure off your plate and keeps your roof — me! — in top shape. It’s smart, affordable, and just plain responsible.

So let’s do this. I’ve got you covered literally. Just promise me you’ll check in now and then.
